Tucson, Arizona
The Yucca (pronounced yuh·kuh) room is a private lower-level room with one King bedroom, one private bathroom, fireplace (one firelog provided), kitchenette, private patio, and frame tv. It can accommodate up to two adults, and one infant (up to two years of age).
JTH Tucson is a small inn lovingly nicknamed Posada, immersed in nature and available for overnight stays. The inn is made up of six private suites as well as over 5,000 sq ft of communal areas for all guests to enjoy. The unique nature of this inn allows us to offer self check-in for a private and immersive experience, while also having an on-site manager available for any questions or assistance you may need during your stay. Your private suite is designed to feel like home upon check-in, and to further that concept you’ll find that this is not a place with a “front desk” or a laminated binder of rules upon arrival. We are so grateful to welcome guests for a relaxed experience here in the Sonoran desert, a place our small team of three also calls home.
Our rural location borders the west side of Saguaro National Park in Tucson, AZ. Situated on 40 acres of land with a forest of Saguaro cactus, native plants, and an abundance of wildlife, this is a space to reflect, reset, and create.
When booking a suite, you will also have access to the shared areas at the JTH Tucson which include: a chef's kitchen, canyon pool (solar heated and best May through September), hot tub (heated to around 100 degrees), rooftop lounge, yoga room, dining patio with a charcoal grill, fire pit (firewood is provided), and living room with a projector.
We provide a light in-room breakfast upon check-in which includes local teas, coffee, almond milk, and gluten-free nut based granola; and we highly recommend picking up groceries for other meals to bring to the inn to fully take advantage of the remote setting, chef's kitchen, and charcoal grill. We also provide private chef contacts as well as other vendor recommendations for added experiences such as massages after booking.
A few things to note:
If you're interested in booking the full space please email us ([email protected]). If you book all 6 suites independently, a buyout fee will be applied.
If you would like to do a commercial photoshoot on-site, bring a private vendor onsite for services outside of our recommended vendors list, or plan on hosting an event such as an elopement or wedding please let us know in advance as this affects pricing.
An incidental fee of $250/room per night may be charged for group stays of 3 or more rooms that are booked individually in an effort to maintain the quiet nature of the inn. For a group buyout with full privacy, please see the JTH Tucson listing.

The Inn is bordering Saguaro National Park West. The closest airport is Tucson International Airport TUS (45 minutes), & Phoenix PHX (1 hour 30 minutes). We'd recommend renting a car from the airport if you're not road tripping in to give you flexibility during your stay. Four wheel drive is recommended as we are located off of primitive dirt roads, but not required.

The JTH was perfect. All of it. The location as epic and super private. I won't stay anywhere else when in Tucson! Can't wait to get back.
AMAZING!! This place was one of the reasons why I travelled all the way from Finland to Arizona. This place did not disappoint. Even better than the pictures. Next time I’m staying here much longer. Will be back!
The only place on my “bucket list places to take a trip”, that I’ve decided to visit twice!! Ever since our first visit two years ago, my husband and I have been talking about going back and I am so glad I did!JTH Tucson is an absolute delight for the senses and soul, appealing to nature, design, and relaxation lovers alike. We stayed in the Yucca Room, which has an incredible private patio putting you right at eye-level with Saguaro National Park. This room also gets the best sunset views, hands down! The room itself is so cozy it’s tough to leave, but we love the communal spaces at JTH so much, too! From languid afternoons at the pool, to cozy meals in the kitchen, and endless hours playing board games in the sunken living room. JTH is my dream place and favorite place, and officially my “home away from home”.
This was the second time we booked at the JTH Tucson and it’s still one of our favorite Airbnb spaces! Courtney was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to communicate. We coupled our trip with a few days at the Tucson Gem Show, which is perfect. However I’d suggest grabbing groceries and cooking at the Posada bc once you’re out there you won’t want to leave. The Hot-spring, communal living and kitchen spaces, and the grounds/labyrinth were highlights for us. We easily could’ve stayed another week!
The JTH Tucson exceeded my expectations by far and the beautiful design lived up to its hype. I was blown away by its beauty (inside and out!) and pleasantly surprised at how isolated the location is - you truly feel at one with nature. The cherry on top was meeting Sara and Rich, the owners, and talking with Courtney the inn manager which made me appreciate this place even more. I hope to go back someday.Oh, and the bed (mattress and sheets) was wonderful. I think I need to invest in Tuft and Needle now…
This is a Fantastic space that has been created in the beautiful Sonoran desert, just a few miles from where I grew up actually. (I live in LA now)This functions like a small boutique hotel, but even more private. The shared spaces were beautiful, and there were tons of small details in the design to appreciate. My wife and I cooked an amazing dinner and watched the sunset from one of the many upstairs balcony’s.Our room was amazing and comfortable and I loved the Bluetooth speaker which I used to play the spaces very own Spotify playlist. They have thought of everything!I live in LA and have access to a ton of luxury hotels and spaces, yet still feel like I want to make the trek back to Southern Arizona to enjoy this space again ASAP. Maybe for my birthday.. that should say everything you need to know :) Truly magical and one of a kind 🪄✨The little gift shop was so cute!
Can't say enough good about this place. A true one of a kind in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Don't hesitate, just book it.
What can I say that hasn’t been said? This place is stunning and better than the pictures. I’ve been waiting years to come and it did not disappoint. I really love the shared common areas. You can use them and meet people from all over and have wonderful conversations, make new friends, or you can cozy up in your room for alone time. The trails were beautiful and the saguaros were plentiful. I will definitely be back.
We loved our stay in Yuca - in fact, we’ve stayed in Yuca twice! The private patio is a great spot for watching the sky turn colors from the sunset. This past time we went in December and really enjoyed the moderate temperatures. We spent a whole day at the desert museum outside - a must do activity when you visit the inn! But of course you could spend your entire stay at the inn. I recommend stopping at the grocery store on your way in and taking advantage of the gorgeous shared kitchen, and book a meal with Chef Ezra if you can! Thanks JTH team!
Don’t wait - book this place. The location is incredible, amenities are great, and the hospitality is amazing.
